Minimum Experience in your own field (NOC starting 51 and 52) -2 years

When applying to immigrate as Self-Employed Person the relevant experience means:
  • At least two one-year periods of experience in the period from five years before the application date to the day a decision is made on the application.
Experience must be in one of these areas:
  • self-employment in cultural activities or athletics or,
  • participating in cultural activities or athletics at the world-class level
You must have a worked full time continuously in your own fields for at least two years in the last 5 yearsORYou can have two full-time experience of one year each in eligible occupations role in the last 5 years before applying.

Experience Role

You must be self-employed in an entitled occupation or participation in an eligible occupation at world class or mix of both (one year each). You might be working on a contract or running your own academy

To carry on with these cultural/Athletic activities to self-support in Canada and give a notable contribution in specific sphere in Canada. Note: For purpose and ability, you might need some Business plan in Canada, documents in support of your past work experience, Future collaboration and commitments in Canada, finances and exploratory visits etc.
